I've Never Been Good Enough

The words Get Better will be connected to me for what seems like the rest of my life, and I couldn't be happier about it.

For those who don't know why I started saying I needed to Get Better- it all started when I began changing my life around. All on my own, I just started saying that I needed to Get Better, but the first part of it seems to go unrecognized sometimes.

The full phrase that I say to myself is "Not good enough, Get Better."

I have never felt good enough, my whole life I felt like I wasn't worth anything. I felt like I could never get what I wanted, and maybe it was because of the way I looked, or maybe it was just because I was being myself. I didn't know why, but all I knew was that I could be more.

As I began running, working out five hours a day, and completely changing my diet, I knew I wouldn't settle for not being good enough anymore.

Let's get one thing straight though, I still don't feel good enough, and that's a good thing. It reminds me that I need to give each day everything I have, and to not accept myself for who I am, because I know I have more to offer the world.

What can you do when you're not good enough? Well the only choice you have is to Get Better.

The one question I seem to get all the time is "If you keep trying to Get Better, then when will you have enough?"

It's a great question, and to that I say this...

No matter where you are in your life, you can always try to Get Better. If you hit what you believe is the top at your job, then try and become the greatest to ever do it. You're in fantastic shape? Then push yourself even harder with your next workout to break a PR. If you feel like you're in a good place in your life, then go out and try to help other people reach their full potential!

My point is that you can always do more, and you can always push yourself to be the best that you can be.

If you don't try to Get Better, that means you are saying you never plan to grow from where you are right now, and no matter what you do in your life there is no point where you should ever plan to stop growing. Once you stop growing, that means you will never be the greatest.

Get Better, because if you aren't getting better you're getting worse!
